PhD in Bioengineering, Bioinformatics and Health Technologies

Coordinator: Prof. Riccardo Bellazzi

Bioengineering represents a highly interdisciplinary scientific area that requires the convergence of tools and skills from different scientific and disciplinary fields, in particular from the world of technology and biomedicine. The variety of interests and skills present in the groups involved in the doctorate school offers a wide range of differentiated research paths. For this reason, the PhD in Bioengineering, Bioinformatics and Health Technolgies is organized into three different curricula: Big Data and Biomedical Informatics; Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Rehabilitative Bioengineering; Cell and Tissue Bioengineering.

PhD in Electronics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering

Coordinator: Prof. Ilaria Cristiani

The PhD in Electronics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering covers a wide range of disciplines, linked both on the cultural and on the application levels. The variety of interests and skills of the laboratories involved in the PhD program allows a wide range of specialized differentiated paths, corresponding to the following curricula: automatic; electrical and magnetic cad; photonics; electrical energy; computer science; financial data engineering; electromagnetic waves; instrumentation; telecommunications.

PhD Program of National Interest in Micro- and Nano-Electronics

Coordinator: Prof. Piero Malcovati

The PhD Program of National Interest in Micro- and Nano- Electronics aims to train new generations of engineers and researchers, both in terms of scientific creativity and design capacity, through leading research in the field of microelectronics, supported by professors and researchers actively engaged and internationally recognized. In order to achieve these goals, the National PhD program in Micro- and Nano- Electronics, bedides the use of advanced technologies and the latest generation tools for the design, construction and characterization of state-of-the-art integrated circuits, provides for the possibility to carry out training periods in universities or companies abroad and to get in touch with the most prestigious international research groups.
