The Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering is part of the Faculty of Engineering and is located on the scientific campus of the University of Pavia, on the Western outskirts of the city. The campus is surrounded by greenery and welcomes all the departments of scientific area and health centers, as well as several services for students, including libraries, three university canteens, swimming pools and the sports area of the CUS.
The campus also host some companies that collaborate closely with researchers of the Department, including ST Microelectronics, Techedge and the Scientific Technical Park with a Huawei research center and several spin-offs born from the research activities of different departments.
The city of Pavia is located about 40 km South of Milan and is a real campus city that gathers about 23,000 students out of a population of about 70,000 residents. The University has a further large center of Humanities studies in the historic center of the city and 16 public colleges (Edisu), of merit and managed by private foundations, distributed throughout the city.
